Kate’s most recent Remembrance Sunday look was full of repeats: the tailored Catherine Walker coat she wore in 2019 and the Philip Treacy hat she first wore to Prince William’s Sandhurst event in 2006 (and again for Remembrance in 2012 and 2017). She accessorized with Queen Elizabeth’s diamond and pearl earrings as well as her signature three poppy brooch.

On the first Remembrance Sunday after Queen Elizabeth’s death, the newly crowned Princess of Wales wore a Catherine Walker coat, earrings that belonged to Princess Diana and a wide-brimmed hat.

She pinned her three poppies to her jacket with an Art Deco diamond brooch designed by Bentley & Skinner.

Remembrance Day 2018 was a big deal as it marked the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War. For the occasion, Kate wore a tailored jacket from Alexander McQueen, a hat from Lock & Co. and a brooch commemorating the women of the First World War. The First World War pinned her poppies to her jacket.

Kate’s fashion at the National Service of Remembrance in 2017 was consistent with previous years, but her hairstyle was the big change: instead of an updo or an open hairstyle, she pinned it up to give the impression of a bob under her hat. She wore a Dolce & Gabbana coat with gold buttons, Oscar de la Renta earrings and a Philip Treacy hat, which she first wore in 2006 when she was dating Prince William.

For the third time, Kate wore a Diane von Furstenberg coat to the Remembrance Sunday service (she wore it in 2011 and 2012, scroll down). She accessorized with her three poppies, a John Boyd hat, and diamond and pearl earrings.

Kate wore an Alexander McQueen jacket in 2014 and happened to be twinned with Sophie, the then Countess of Wessex, who wore the same coat. However, unlike Sophie, Kate wore a ruffled dress under her jacket, so the necklines looked slightly different. She reprized the black Jane Corbett hat she first wore in 2011. The Duchess accessorized with an anemone brooch reminiscent of a poppy, a Mappin & Webb diamond necklace and Princess Diana’s sapphire and diamond earrings.

The Duchess of Cambridge changed up her Remembrance Sunday fashion for the first time in 2013, wearing a Temperley London coat instead of the Diane Von Furstenberg coat she wore the previous two years. She wore a Sylvia Fletcher hat for Lock & Co. and her Kiki McDonough Annoushka pearl drop hoop earrings. Her poppy pin is obscured in this photo, but it is just a poppy brooch.

Kate repeated her look from last year, wearing a Diane Von Furstenburg coat but with a different hat. She once again chose to wear her Annoushka pearl earrings and a poppy brooch.
