Katharine McPhee shared a video on Friday of her and David Foster's “genius” two-year-old son Rennie playing drums.
In the clip posted to TikTok, the “American Idol” alum enters what appears to be a playroom where the toddler was playing behind his red, personalized drum set while his 16-time Grammy-winning father looked on proudly.
“My 2 year old baby is a genius! 🤯,” McPhee wrote in the caption.
Rennie wore a gray T-shirt and black headphones as he played his drum solo for his parents to the tune of Michael Jackson's “Rock With You.”
Foster also shared the video on Instagram, where his colleagues expressed how shocked they were by Rennie's talent.

In October 2023, the “Terrified” singer shared that she accidentally baked Rennie's iPad in the oven while trying to “hide it.”
“I’m cooking iPads over here. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I tried to hide it but forgot it was in there while listening [sic] Turn up the oven for my chicken special,” she captioned a video on her Instagram Stories at the time.
Later that month, McPhee told Us Weekly that she and Foster “don't take any bullshit” when it comes to their toddler's bad behavior because they “don't want him to be a jerk.”

“He [needs] being nice, polite, obedient, having your own voice and stuff like that, but simple [be] “A good kid,” she told the outlet.
McPhee and Foster tied the knot in June 2019 and welcomed their son in February 2021.
The Canadian composer is also the father of daughters Allison, Amy, Sara, Erin and Jordan from previous relationships.
