Matvei Michkov is a changed player since leaving SKA Saint Petersburg for HC Sochi.
The Russian prodigy continued his momentum and scored another goal on Monday, this time at the expense of his former team. Watch the video above.
Since arriving in Sochi, Michkov has collected four goals and five assists in eight games.
Mostly ignored, he had only attended one meeting with the SKA.
Despite his immense talent, the Russian forward was only selected seventh overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the last NHL draft.
Some teams feared that his decision to stay in Russia would harm his development. In the past, it often happened that players drafted in the NHL were shunned in the KHL, as Michkov experienced with the SKA.
