  • A man wearing a red bandana appeared and threw gang signs at him
  • The rapper said the concert goer was not a fan and was behaving disrespectfully

A viral video captured the moment a rapper interrupted his concert to slap and punch a man in the front row.

Shordie Shordie, 27, was performing at the El Rey Theater in California over the weekend when things took an ugly turn.

The video shows the moment Shordie stopped his concert when he saw the man waving a red bandana and throwing up gang signs in apparent mockery.

The Baltimore rapper stared down at the fan before throwing the punch, knocking him to the ground.

Shordie and a member of his entourage are seen punching him several more times before security removes the fan.

Shordie Shordie stopped the show when he noticed a concertgoer wearing a red bandana making gang signs with his hands. Shordie stopped playing when he noticed the fan. The rapper punched the man and threw him to the ground

Before returning to his set, the rapper said, “The way I look, n***a, I come from the streets, n***a, never hit me.”

The rapper addressed the incident in an Instagram video the next day.

“That wasn’t a fan, that wasn’t a woman, that was a disrespectful asshole who needed a slap in the face.” And that’s what we did. This is how I do it. “Put your lips out, n***a slap your lips,” he said.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, some users reacted to the video and said Shordie’s behavior was unnecessary.

One user wrote: “You slapped a fan just because of the gang sign?” “Some of these artists think they are God.”

“This is too harsh of Shordie,” wrote another. “The fan should sue him for assault, he is not above the law.”

“That was completely inappropriate!!” “The guy was just having fun,” said another.

The next day, the rapper posted an Instagram video in which he called the man disrespectful and said he was not a fan of rapper Shordie. Shordie is a 27-year-old rapper from Baltimore. He was performing in California when the incident occurred

This incident is the latest in a series of attacks by artists on stage.

In August, rapper 50 Cent threw a broken microphone off the stage when it malfunctioned, hitting a concertgoer in the head.

A lawyer for the hitmaker said his client would “never intentionally hit anyone with a microphone.”

Over the summer, Cardi B was cleared of charges after she threw a microphone at a fan during her concert in Las Vegas.

In the incident, the rapper asked someone to splash her with water in three degrees Celsius, but a concertgoer held out a cup of liquid and ice to her, prompting her to throw the microphone into the audience.
