In a clash between the National League’s two best teams, the Atlanta Braves standard-bearer hit a grand slam in the second inning against Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Lance Lynn. His hit into left midfield was beyond any doubt.
A few moments later, Austin Riley extended his arms for his 32nd long ball of the year.
On Wednesday, Acuna Jr. stole two cushions and reached 60 for the first time in a season. He still has time to reach 40 home runs, joining Jose Canseco (1988), Barry Bonds (1996), Alex Rodriguez (1998) and Alfonso Soriano (2006) joins the select group of 40-40.
