Several surveillance groups are calling for Joe Biden’s Senate years to be searched for classified documents after another tranche of material was found at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
There are also calls to search his beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware. Biden’s personal attorneys searched the home but said no classified material was found.
The University of Delaware houses 1,875 boxes and over 400 gigabytes of digital records from Biden’s 36-year Senate career. There he deposited his documents at the end of his service.

The National Legal and Policy Center is asking Special Counsel Robert Hur to review this footage as part of his investigation and to search the Bidens’ Rehoboth home.
“The FBI needs to search the entire 14,000-square-foot Penn Biden Center where classified documents were found by his private attorneys who only searched Biden’s private office,” said NLPC Counsel Paul Kamenar.
“The FBI also needs to search Biden’s Senate filings held at the University of Delaware as well as his beach house,” he said.
Other groups also call for similar searches. During his time in the Senate, Biden served on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and had access to classified material. Secret documents at the time were found at his home in Wilmington.
“As the number of discoveries of new locations containing classified documents seems to increase every day, it is possible that classified material can be found in almost every place where Joe Biden slept, worked, or kept his personal belongings,” said Michael Chamberlain, Director of Protect the Public’s Trust, the Washington Examiner said.
“The fact that the FBI search of Biden’s home last week uncovered more documents than originally known makes it critical that the Biden Center at the University of Delaware be searched,” said Functional Government spokesman Pete McGinnis Initiative.
The White House said it was cooperating with the Justice Department on the investigation.
“We are fully cooperating with the DOJ, collaborating with them throughout their investigative steps here and coordinating with them on any future needs. So, in terms of the quest, potential quest, things like that, I’m not going to prejudge any decisions made. But you know, we are fully cooperating with the DOJ,” White House spokesman Ian Sams said Monday.
Additionally, it was revealed Tuesday that a dozen classified documents were found at the home of former Vice President Mike Pence in Indiana, raising questions about the process of wrapping up senior government officials after they left office.
Secret material has now been discovered in the possession of Pence, Biden and ex-President Donald Trump.
Republican Rep. Michael Waltz told Fox News that the transition process “failed.”
“But I think the difference with Biden here is how long ago that was,” he added.
And Republican Senator Lindsey Graham told Fox: “When all is said and done, maybe we’re overclassing things – that could be part of the problem. But count me in fixing that.’
Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware
Both Biden and Trump are being investigated by a special counsel.
In all, there were five discoveries of classified material in Biden’s possession: at the Penn-Biden Center, a think tank in Washington, DC; in Biden’s garage at his home in Wilmington; a document discovered in his “personal library” in the same house; four other documents found at his home; and then another six were found when the Justice Department conducted another search of the Wilmington residence.
As for Trump, the National Archives had repeatedly requested material from the former president, who took boxes of paperwork as he left the White House.
All presidents hand over documents to the federal government at the end of their term of office. Trump finally handed over 15 boxes. The archives found classified material in it and, suspecting he had not turned it all over, contacted the Justice Department, which obtained a federal warrant to search his Mar-a-Lago property.
Ultimately, it was discovered that he had in his possession hundreds of documents containing classified information.
Biden turned over his documents when his attorneys found them and voluntarily gave the FBI access to his home in Wilmington, Delaware, to search for more. Those agents found six more classified documents Friday after a 13-hour search.
