“Never before have we Holocaust survivors felt the need to make a collective statement like this,” the group wrote. “We never imagined that we would witness a restoration of the senseless and vicious hatred against Jews that we once faced in Europe. Hamas’ actions are so familiar and so barbaric, but instead of condemning them, Hamas is responding with a shameful rise in antiSemitism around the world.”
