“But we can’t let him win,” the 81-year-old Democrat added of the former Republican president at a meeting with Democratic donors near Boston, Northeast.
Joe Biden, whose campaign is struggling to get off the ground, has long said he has the best chance of beating Donald Trump again.

The Democrat, whose age worries voters and who has difficulty selling his economic record, regularly repeats that democracy itself is at stake in this new confrontation with the former businessman.
Despite his unpopularity, and unless major surprises or serious health problems force him to withdraw, the American president is almost certain to win his party’s nomination for the November 2024 election.
Donald Trump, for his part, is currently the big favorite in the Republican primaries.
