We didn’t expect him anymore, we had that despicable Dr. Charbonneau, so well interpreted by the great Christian Bégin, almost forgotten.

If you remember correctly, the very first storyline of Indefensible focused on psychiatrist Martin Charbonneau. After a very long process in which he met his patient Pierre Poirier (Hubert Proulx) of his brother’s murder, the doctor found himself at the center of allegations of sexual abuse from patients and even his own daughter Séverine (Rosalie Loiselle). Although the course of the episodes that followed this first storyline led us to believe that Charbonneau would eventually be officially indicted, we didn’t have an official sequel. And on social networks, netizens wondered what would happen to him.

Well, Wednesday night, on the daily episode of VATviewers were finally treated to news of Charbonneau’s tumultuous fate.
Indeed, from the first minutes of the episode, Inès (Belkhiria only) and Karin (Marie Eve Perron) each received a notification on their phone, presumably from some media, announcing the psychiatrist’s arrest.

Charbonneau is therefore officially accused of sexually assaulting his patient Pierre Poirier and his daughter Séverine Charbonneau.

If the news shocked us in a way we no longer expected, it also comes to the conclusion of this intrigue we thought was tucked under the rug.
As we’re not immune to surprises in Indéfendables, it remains to be seen whether we’ll see Christian Bégin by the end of the season, on April 27th.
