Dream weather and floods, confinement and walks on the beach: Grado offers an inconsistent picture these weeks, to talk to meteorologists. Talking to normal people: it’s total chaos. The temperatures remain high, the leaves are beautifully lit, but floods occur continuously, favored by a strong sirocco, the south wind that blows the sea against the beach. This Sunday it was clear how crazy the weather was: a hurricane at night, floodwaters that broke their banks at around 4am, roads closed – but the people of Grades woke up to a picturesque autumn morning with bright sun and no wind. And many people were surprised to see seaweed dumped on their doorstep.
