After Israel have said its forces were ready to “expand the offensive.” By implementing a “wide range of offensive operational plans,” which include a “joint and coordinated attack by air, sea and land,” Israel’s top military spokesman stated on the night of Saturday the 14th that the attack on Gaza would occur “very soon.”

“We will attack Gaza City very soon,” Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said during a livestreamed speech, without making it clear when they would begin attacking the 40kilometerlong area. In his speech, the speaker once again appealed to Gazans to move south.

After the Israeli army said this on Friday the 13th Gaza residents had 24 hours to evacuate the northern regionIsraeli forces announced on Saturday that residents of the northern region of the Gaza Strip could leave the region via two safe routes and should complete the journey to the south of the Palestinian enclave by 4 p.m. (10 a.m. Brazil time).

Israel is expected to invade the northern Gaza Strip region at any time. The Israeli military said the guidelines were aimed at displacing civilians ahead of a concerted attack on Hamas terrorists in the north, including at their alleged underground hideouts in Gaza City.

Israel accuses Hamas of blocking

In the nationally broadcast speech on Saturday evening, Hagari also accused Hamas of trying to use civilians as human shields and cited the terrorist group’s “active efforts” to prevent the population from being displaced, according to the Times Of Israel. The Israeli military released photos Saturday showing heavy traffic in the Gaza Strip and accused Hamas of blocking roads and preventing civilians from traveling south.

“We have evidence that Hamas is setting up roadblocks to prevent the evacuation of Palestinian civilians from northern to southern Gaza. “Hamas prides itself on putting civilians in harm’s way and is responsible for all civilian casualties,” reads a post on the Israeli government’s profile on X.

In response to Israel’s call for civilians to move south, Hamas even urged residents to stay in their homes: “Do not follow propaganda evacuation instructions.” The terror group is known for trying to evacuate residents to force them to ignore the military’s warnings./With Associated Press.
