It will still be mild, but rush hour will be difficult Thursday morning due to a weather cocktail that will affect southern Quebec with freezing precipitation.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for southern parts of the province, from Pontiac and Haut-Gatineau to Montreal and its two suburbs, including part of the Laurentians.
“The freezing precipitation will begin Wednesday evening and continue through Thursday morning,” the federal agency said on its website, saying a second episode of freezing rain was also possible on Friday.

According to the federal agency, a layer of black ice of almost 5 to 10 millimeters is expected in these areas, with car and pedestrian traffic on the streets and sidewalks being difficult and ice and slippery conditions possible.
The low pressure area that will hit the south of the province from Wednesday evening poses the risk of freezing precipitation and even snow accumulation in the same areas again on Friday morning.
Elsewhere in central and eastern Quebec, the weather will be cloudy, with clouds alternating with temperatures that are pleasant for this time of year, particularly in Quebec and Estrie, where temperatures are expected to be 0°C and 3°C, respectively, according to federal forecasts.
Meanwhile, the weather will be cloudy in Montreal on Wednesday after a few snow showers ended in the morning, while the risk of freezing drizzle is expected in the afternoon as the temperature rises to -2°C.
