The models show important movements in the second decade of December. Probably from the day of the Immaculate Conception it seems likely that the high pressure could affect more northerly latitudesbetween Greenland and Iceland, whereby the Descent of the arctic air towards the north and mid-west of our continent. If things went this way there would be a long cold and snowy spell for most of Europe, let’s see what might happen.
Weather trend for the Immaculate Conception, the Russian frost points towards the Mediterranean
The weather in Europe from December 8th to 15th. Should the trend be confirmed soon, very cold air would flow for several days across the Northern, Western and Central European sectors with rigid temperatures and snowfall down to the lowlands across Scandinavia, UK, France, the Netherlands and Germany to the coast of Scotland, Norway, Holland, Denmark and the United Kingdom. Snowstorms would affect the alpine reliefs. Cyclonic rotation wind, sometimes strong, on the North Sea and Baltic Sea due to the presence of low-pressure areas fed by freezing air coming from the north. Temperatures also dropping 3-4°C below zero in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Paris and so on.
And in Italy? Still to understand how the weather in Italy might behave. At the moment it seems that our country could be affected by several disturbed passages, especially in the north, with abundant snowfalls in the mountains, especially in the period from December 8th to 11th, with possible subsequent white surprises at low altitudes between 12 and 15. We don’t see any anticyclonic comebacks but rather a sizzling and very dynamic second decade of December. Stay up to date.
