Weather in Quebec: “A wonderful weekend” to prepare for the time change –

Quebecers can look forward to a mild, quiet weekend, plus an extra hour of sleep, as a time change is expected Saturday night to Sunday.

“We should have a fairly quiet weekend with no major weather events,” said Brigitte Bourque, a meteorologist with Environment Canada.

Although no major event will occur, a small meteorological depression will have crossed Quebec from west to east during the night of Friday into Saturday and is expected to last until late morning, at the latest Saturday.

“No rainfall is forecast for the rest of the weekend, except for intermittent rain in Estrie on Sunday,” the government institution meteorologist added.

Pleasant temperatures are expected throughout Quebec: between 10 and 7 degrees in Outaouais, the Montreal region and Estrie. For regions further north, from Quebec, the temperature should be around 6 to 3 degrees.

However, mercury levels are expected to fall near or below freezing overnight.

The lack of major rainfall will not prevent some upheaval in the everyday lives of Quebecers, as the time change, which sets the clock back one hour, will take place on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

The time change will occur at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, giving everyone an extra hour to enjoy the beautiful weekend.
