Weather in Quebec After the snow the cold sets in

Weather in Quebec: After the snow, the cold sets in for the rest of the week –

The snowfall that fell in southern and central Quebec brings a winter cold that sets in for the rest of the week and the weather is characterized by a gradual return of the sun.

The mercury will therefore fall, with temperatures below seasonal values, which could reach minus 7 degrees in Montreal and Quebec and minus 14 degrees in areas such as Saguenay and Abitibi.

With temperatures like these, Montrealers will need to wrap up warm, although sunny spells are expected during the day, with Environment Canada predicting alternating sun and clouds.

In the center of the province, the scenario will be essentially the same, with more sunshine in the Quebec, Charlevoix and Saguenay sectors, while skies in Estrie will be more cloudy, according to forecasts from the federal agency.

Clouds will also be more common in eastern Quebec, except for sections of the north coast where sunny weather will not prevent the mercury from falling amid strong winds that will bring a wind chill of minus 15 C in the afternoon.

It will be even colder on Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures continue to fall, reaching minus 10 degrees in Montreal and minus 12 degrees in Quebec, according to the federal agency, which expects a spectacular rise in the mercury over the weekend.
