The warning for strong winds and sudden cooling has therefore been maintained for the eastern sectors of Quebec, according to Environment Canada, which states on its website that “strong westerly winds blowing up to 90 kilometers away are forecast for Thursday.”

Although the cold feeling will continue, the situation is expected to calm down elsewhere in Quebec, especially in the south of the province, where we expect a change of sun and clouds

In Montreal and its two suburbs, for example, the federal agency forecasts temperatures of minus 6 degrees with fewer crazy winds, even if the wind effect will be present and a feeling that could reach values of minus 22 in the morning.

It will be even colder in western Quebec, where the thermometer shows minus 14 degrees and the sky alternates between sun and clouds, especially in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

The same scenario is expected in the center of the province, where certain parts of the north will still see some flakes and steady snowfall before clearing in the afternoon.

In eastern Quebec, the rain will turn to snow, ending in the morning and then giving way to a mix of sun and clouds, but the federal agency forecasts it will be even colder.

This feeling of cold will be aggravated by the strong winds that will blow with gusts of 90 km/h, which may lead to power outages, as happened the previous day in the southwest of the province.
