The weekend continues on Sunday with mild temperatures in Quebec, suggesting an equally quiet start to the week, at least until Tuesday.
Mild weather will continue under clouds on Sunday and is expected to continue through Tuesday, according to Environment Canada forecasts. “A small system should appear over Montreal late Tuesday [et] could even bring rain,” Environment Canada meteorologist Catherine Brabant reported.
Average temperatures of between 9°C and 13°C are expected in the south of the province on Sunday, particularly in Outaouais, Estrie, Montérégie and Montreal. Additionally, the mercury could reach up to 16°C by Wednesday.
A maximum temperature of 8°C is expected in the Quebec region during the day on Sunday. The mercury temperature will fall rapidly in the early evening and reach 3°C during the day on Monday.
“A very moist air mass” that remains on the ground will form a layer of fog in the morning, particularly “over the St. Lawrence Valley and the Outaouais,” the Environment Canada meteorologist added.
To reduce the dangers of limited visibility in traffic, the federal agency advises drivers to pay attention to the taillights of vehicles in front and to be ready to stop at any time.
