TREND: HOT UNTIL JULY 12 BUT WITHOUT EXCESS THANKS TO ANTICICCLONE OF THE AZORES – After Friday’s storm front has passed, the air will be more breathable over the weekend, especially on the Adriatic side and in the south, thanks to the cooler currents that will bring them from northern Europe Temperatures in line with the typical values of the second decade of July. From next week, the Azores anticyclone will carry our entire peninsula with not particularly intense heat, especially in the regions of the mid-low Adriatic side and part of the south. In many Italian cities, the thermometer will be in the coming days it will not go above 30-32 ° C, which makes the climate of the metropolis much more bearable, especially in the evenings and at night. Days will be mostly stable and dry with the exception of isolated heat storms on the south-central reliefs.
BUT FROM JULY 13TH THE AFRICAN ANTICICLON COMES BACK, AGAIN UNDER THE CANICOLA – Although we will breathe again in the next few days thanks to the fresh currents from the north, the trend for the second decade of July will reflect the scorching climate of the last few weeks. In fact, the medium to long-term evolution of the weather models indicates a comeback of the African anticyclone, reporting dry and intensely hot weather in the main Italian cities, with temperature readings well above the averages of the period. Widespread values of up to +35°C may be reached over the coming weekend, with possible peaks near +40°C.
