The week starts with drizzle but generally positive temperatures to continue the weekend's momentum before a rain system arrives in Quebec on Tuesday.
Monday will therefore be marked by intermittent drizzle, which will affect mainly the west and central parts of the province from the morning and certain parts of northern Quebec in the afternoon.
In Montreal and surrounding areas, Environment Canada is forecasting cloudy weather before a change of sun and clouds at midday, while the thermometer reads a high of 13.
In other areas to the west, such as Lanaudière, the Laurentides and Vaudreuil – Soulanges, the intermittent drizzle should end in the morning, giving way to indecisive skies, with still positive temperatures ranging between a maximum of 6 and 14 degrees, depending on the season region.
The same goes for Estrie, Drummondville and La Tuque in central Quebec.
The state capital starts the week cloudy, with a 30% chance of a shower in the afternoon, with a maximum of 4 degrees.
Eastern Quebec will emerge as the winner of the weather lottery on Monday, with generally sunny weather until late afternoon, although the thermometer should indicate cooler weather, with maximum temperatures between -8 and 5 degrees, depending on the sector.
However, a wind chill could bring temperatures as low as -16°C in Matane and Rimouski and -23 to -25°C in Nastasquan, Chevery and Blanc-Sablon.
According to the federal agency, regions further north could see snow during the day, including James Bay and LG Quatre – Laforge and Fontanges.
