Ewan McGregor and Maria Elizabeth Winstead are married according to PEOPLE. The legendary actor, 51, married his former Fargo co-star, 37, over the weekend during a “small,” intimate ceremony, the outlets claim. “It was a small wedding for family and close friends,” a source told PEOPLE. “They had an outdoor ceremony. It was beautiful and happy. The menu was farm to table. They are an adorable couple. They are quite reserved and like their canyon life. They often hike and go to the beach.”

The couple met in 2016 when they were cast on FX drama Fargo. A romance blossomed sometime later, which raised eyebrows as both Ewan and Mary Elizabeth were married at the time of filming. Ewan is said to have separated from his wife, Eva Mavrakisin May 2017, after 22 years of marriage, which was around the same time that Mary Elizabeth announced her separation from her husband of seven years, Riley Stearns. Five months later, the co-stars were photographed packing on the PDA on the streets of London.

Months after Ewan split from Eve, their children – daughters Klara26, jamyan20, esther20 and Anouck, 11 – were still deeply affected. “Blame them [Mary Elizabeth] for destroying her family and they cannot forgive her,” a source told EXCLUSIVE HollywoodLife back then. “It’s especially hard for Clara because she’s the eldest of her sisters and she’s so protective. When she sees they’re hurt about this divorce, she gets angry and lashes out at Mary Elizabeth.” Clara seemingly called her father an “A-hole” in an Instagram post, while Esther slammed him in song form. Even Mary Elizabeth’s ex seemed to discredit her after their split. However, both Clara and Esther now get along well with their father.

Since weathering the storm of such backlash, Ewan and Mary Elizabeth have become inseparable, accompanying each other on holidays and red carpet flings. They’ve certainly made a home for themselves and even bought a home together in Topanga Canyon in 2019. A year later they welcomed their first child, a son, laurie. Congratulations to the happy couple on their big day!
