Week 10 NFL injuries: Bills v Vikings’ Josh Allen questionable; TJ Watt wants to return for Steelers

The second half of the 2022 NFL regular season kicked off Thursday night when the Panthers fended off the Falcons at home, and now we have a whole host of Sunday games on deck for Week 10. That includes an international affair between the Seahawks and Buccaneers for the history books. For the first time ever, a regular season game will be played in Munich, Germany. Of course, that’s an early Sunday morning viewing appointment, as is the rest of the panel.

Like every week, a new set of games brings with it a new set of injuries to follow. This week in particular, several quarterbacks have their status on the air so all eyes will be on them. After the teams have completed the week of training, they have released their latest injury reports and released the game status for week 10. Below is each of those reports and a breakdown of some of the biggest injuries.

Seahawks at Buccaneers (-2.5), in Munich

Seattle is going into this international neck-and-neck race in pretty healthy shape. Marquise Goodwin is officially listed as questionable but was able to train fully on Friday which is an encouraging sign of his availability. Meanwhile, Gillaspia was the only other player listed in the latest injury report and was ruled out after not training all week.

Cameron Brate is the only player listed in Bucs’ final injury report who made the trip to Germany. He’s been a full participant all week, so it seems he has a good chance of playing. Despite being listed as questionable all week, Mike Evans (ribs, ankles) doesn’t carry a designation. It’s also worth noting that security Antoine Winfield Jr. cleared the concussion log and will be playing.

The Vikings have reported minor injuries all season but Tomlinson is the first major player to miss a game in weeks. Starting center Garrett Bradbury (ankle) was a full participant on Friday after being limited on Thursday. He was not given an injury designation.

After missing the first two practice sessions of the week, Josh Allen returned to the field in a limited capacity on Friday and was officially ruled questionable for Sunday’s matchup against Minnesota. Sean McDermott told reporters earlier Friday that Allen’s status is really “hour to hour,” so it seems like he’s a real game-time decision.

The promising news for Detroit is that running back D’Andre Swift not only doesn’t wear an injury tag for this game, but was able to return to full training for the first time in weeks on Friday. Meanwhile, Josh Reynolds has not been able to take the field at all this week, so it’s not surprising that he’s already ruled out.

Jenkins, who is restricted in Friday’s practice, is something to monitor for the Bears. He was the team’s top offensive lineman this year, a force in the running game. If he can’t go, let Michael Schofield start. No vildor is going to give the Bears problems on the nickel defense, especially if Johnson isn’t able to play. Johnson is arguably the best cornerback of the tea.

  • jaguars:S Rayshawn Jenkins (concussion) QUESTIONABLE
  • bosses: WR Mecole Hardman (stomach) OUT; RB Jerick McKinnon (shoulder, knee, hamstring) DOUBT

Jacksonville continues to be one of the healthiest teams in the NFL. Only Rayshawn Jenkins carries a designation for entering Week 10 and he was limited in practice on Friday. Tight end Evan Engram was listed on the injury report with a back injury but has trained fully and is ready for Sunday.

Hardman did not practice at all this week due to an abdominal injury and will miss Kansas City’s Week 10 matchup against the Jags. Meanwhile, Jerick McKinnon was downgraded to a restricted participant during Friday’s practice session, having been a full participant two days earlier. The pass-catching defender has been struggling with a series of injuries and is now officially a doubt.

  • Brown: OLB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (knee), TE David Njoku (ankle) OUT; G Michael Dunn (rear) QUESTIONABLE
  • dolphins: TE Hunter Long (Concussion Protocol/Illness) OFF; T Terron Armstead (toe/calf), T Austin Jackson (ankle/calf), TE Tanner Conner (knee), QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) QUESTIONABLE

Bye week wasn’t enough for the Browns to get David Njoku healthy and ready for this game against Miami. This is the second game Njoku has missed due to an ankle injury he sustained in Week 7 against the Ravens. With him out, Harrison Bryant and Pharaoh Brown will be the club’s best tight ends. Meanwhile, Owusu-Koramoah will also miss his second game in a row.

Armstead skipped practice on Friday and was ruled questionable, but that was normal on the injury report this year. He hasn’t typically trained more than once a week this year as she’s dealing with a toe injury, but has played eight games. Austin Jackson may also be in line to play his first game since Week 1, but he was restricted on Friday.

Houston could get its top two wide receivers back in Week 10. Both Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins have had limited practice this week and are officially ruled questionable. Jalen Reeves-Maybin was also upgraded to a full competitor on Friday, which bodes well for his game prospects.

Kenny Golladay has not played since Week 4 but is expected to be available against Houston on Sunday. Golladay, largely disappointed since arriving in New York, has been restricted all week and is officially ruled questionable. Flott and Ximines were also limited all week. As for Evan Neal, this is the second game in a row he has missed due to his knee injury.

None of the excluded players trained at all this week, including Marshon Lattimore. As New Orleans continues to struggle with a string of injuries, they received an encouraging sign from Jarvis Landry. The veteran wide receiver doesn’t wear an injury label and is scheduled to play on Sunday.

Jackson and Witherspoon didn’t train all week and have since been ruled out for Week 10. Dotson appeared on Friday’s injury report as a restricted competitor due to an abdominal injury and is now listed as a questionable. Meanwhile, pass rusher TJ Watt told reporters he expects to play Sunday and doesn’t anticipate being on any sort of snap count.

  • foal: RB Deon Jackson (knee), TE Jelani Woods (shoulder), LB Shaquille Leonard (back/ankle) AUS; TE Mo Alie-Cox (ankle), DE Kwity Paye (ankle) DOUBT
  • robber: MLB Denzel Perryman (hip/ribs) QUESTIONABLE

The key development for the Colts is Jonathan Taylor (ankle), who was a full participant in Friday practice and received no injury designation. Deon Jackson will be out, so Zack Moss and possibly Jordan Wilkins Taylor will spell against the Raiders. Kylen Grayson will be the lone end if Alie-Cox – who was restricted on Friday – is unable to walk. Pye hasn’t practiced all week so he will be a game-time decision.

The Raiders only have Perryman on injury reports, and he was limited in Friday’s practice. Las Vegas will be without Darren Waller (hamstring) and Hunter Renfrow (bent) as both players were injured/reserved on Thursday.
