TE notes: TJ Hockenson has five more catches than any other tight end. There is no longer any reason to believe that the Vikings’ approach to offense – or, by extension, Hockenson – will change. Of course you could tell me that there was never any reason to believe that. … Will “Target Dominator Zay Flowers” be a continued problem for Mark Andrews? Andrews’ stranglehold on the Ravens’ scoring share is one of the things that makes him special. To make matters worse, the Browns defense allowed its fewest TE fantasy points in three weeks in Week 4. … George Kittle’s big Week 3 came with Brandon Aiyuk on the sidelines. The wideout is expected to return from his shoulder issue this week, although Deebo Samuel is now questionable. As always, Kittle is a ceiling-mounted TE1 whose floor leaves a lot to be desired. … The Giants simply treated Darren Waller like a wide receiver in Week 3. I can’t say it went particularly well. Still, Waller’s goals are the only certainty in New York’s passing attack.

Evan Engram has been the steadiest part of the Jaguars’ offense for three weeks and could really use some more touchdown luck. … Tied with Engram for second in receptions is Lions rookie tight end Sam LaPorta, who has quickly established himself as Detroit’s No. 2 passing weapon. The young man leads all tight ends in yards per route run and by a comfortable margin. If he can maintain anywhere near that level of efficiency at his current volume level, we have an elite fantasy player on our hands. … Dallas Goedert’s slow start is likely a coincidence, but there’s reason to believe the Eagles will maintain their recent run-heavy approach against the Commanders’ tough pass defense. … David Njoku runs a lot of routes despite his lack of targets. I’m really not sure how long this will last. The Browns need more productive looks behind Amari Cooper, and the force-feeding of Elijah Moore has yet to work.

Gerald Everett’s use has been made even more limited by Mike Williams’ season-ending knee injury. The Raiders are a glorious matchup. …Speaking of routes, Kyle Pitts has them! Along with many, many, many other things that don’t show up in box scores or push notifications. Week 4 opponent Jacksonville has had a tough time in three contests. … Two of the players poised to overtake Pitts in the rankings are Green Bay’s Luke Musgrave and Dallas’ Jake Ferguson. Musgrave has a matchup and scoring advantage in Week 4 with the Lions. It’s worth asking if he can make more than three to four appearances if Christian Watson returns to the lineup. Ferguson’s target floor is probably a little higher. … Dalton Kincaid should see an increase in his targets as the Bills finally face an offense their own size. You can track touchdowns with Dawson Knox if you’re bad at your second FLEX spot. …Tyler Higbee and Zach Ertz offer the same kind of absolutely empty compilation.
