Monsignor Delpini with the Archbishop of Garoua

Fidei donum Ambrosian priest in Cameroon
Finally, after a long wait, Archbishop Delpini arrived in Cameroon in Garoua and was warmly welcomed at the airport, where he immediately met Ambassador Archbishop Faustin Ndjodo and the local authorities.
Outside the airport, various delegations of parishioners, believers, groups and movements, all very colorful, awaited him. Between music, songs and dances, they gave him a big party and he himself was amazed at the warmth shown to him by the people.
Upon his arrival, he was transferred to the nearby parish of Ngalbidje, where the Archbishop was received in the parish church and received words of welcome from Archbishop Faustin and Fr. Paolo Mandelli as our spokesman.
The archbishop’s powerful voice and very good French amazed everyone. He said he brought only two things: first, a desire to learn from the faith and joy of the local people; the second is the blessing of the Lord. Words greeted by the applause of the faithful present in the church. We expect a lot from this visit in the coming days.
