Wendy Williams Calls Wells Fargo About Blocking Access To Her Money: ‘It’s Not Fair’

Here are your FOX Business Flash top headlines for March 24th.

Wendy Williams is urging Wells Fargo to give her access to her money, saying in a video Wednesday the bank is not treating her fairly.

The former talk show host shared the video on her personal Instagram account. She accuses Wells Fargo of banning her from her own account and specifically spoke out against the actions of Lori Schiller, a national advisor to Wells Fargo Advisors in New York, and her ex-manager Bernie Young.

“My thing is I was asking questions about my money and when I started asking questions about my money Lori Schiller suddenly didn’t get an answer about my money. I want my money. That’s not fair. And Wells Fargo has no questions and answers regarding my money,” claims Williams, 57.

Williams further accused her former manager Young of “using my American Express card to hire an attorney to petition me.”

“Bernie, you’re no good and that’s not fair at all,” she says.

Williams further claimed that she was not given access to her own medical information by a former doctor.

“It was sent to Lori Schiller, so I didn’t get the stuff. I fired the doctor and again I just want to know where my money is? It’s not right and certainly not fair… Wells Fargo used all this stuff to create guardianship over me,” she added.

She ended by asking Schiller, Young and Wells Fargo, “please allow me access to my money.”

“It’s not right, and it’s not fair either. Have a nice day, thank you,” concludes her video statement.

“I’m sick of everyone talking like they’re me in this scenario. It’s about time I let all my loving supporters know what’s really going on with Wendy,” Williams wrote in the caption of the post.

Both Williams and Wells Fargo’s attorneys have filed legal documents arguing their cases. Last month, Williams filed a restraining order against Wells Fargo for access to her money. According to Williams’ files with the court, the bank’s move reportedly came after Williams’ former financial adviser claimed that Williams was “mentally ill”.

Financial advisers for the bank told Fox News Digital in February that the company’s only goal was to ensure the “Wendy Williams Show” host could make payments to companies she “regularly” made payments to, despite claims her camp’s report that she is “fine” in response to being reportedly called a “disabled person”.

“Wells Fargo’s priority is Ms. Williams’ financial well-being and maintaining her privacy,” the statement said. “As we expressed to the court, Wells Fargo stands ready to work with Ms. Williams’ attorney to release funds directly to her creditors for bills that have been historically and regularly paid from her accounts.”

Williams has denied ever being unable to fend for herself, and according to a statement from her attorney, LaShawn Thomas, to Fox News Digital, Williams is “doing well” and “in her right mind.”

Representatives from Wells Fargo, Schiller and Young did not immediately respond to Fox Business requests for comment.
