We're getting the monsters out of prison! – The Journal de Montreal

Less than two years after being convicted of kidnapping, the father of the Granby martyred girl is free to leave prison and live in semi-freedom.

For those who have forgotten the details of this cruel story, let us remember that on the night of April 28-29, 2019, this man (with the help of his partner) barricaded the window of his 7-year-old daughter's bedroom in order to to get dressed Don't let her escape.

That he bound his daughter with duct tape and a shirt tied like a straitjacket.

That he left her like that all night long.

That he went to work the next morning as if nothing had happened.

And when he returned from work late that afternoon, he found his daughter dead and suffocated.

And you're telling me that same guy gets out of prison after two years?

After wrapping his daughter in duct tape and immobilizing her all night and part of the next day?

Are you sick or something?

“He is motivated”

“The man has made progress and is motivated to reintegrate socially,” said the parole board, explaining its decision to release him from prison.

But who cares if he's made progress! That he took watercolor lessons long-distance or that he said his prayers every time he went to sleep!

Do you know who would also like to have made progress? And who was super motivated to live normally?

Her daughter.

Unfortunately, she will not be able to do this as she will be locked in a wooden coffin under two meters of earth for eternity.

There will be no parole for this little owl.

No second chances.

No bureaucrat will allow him to escape his prison, nor has any human rights defender allowed him to escape the death penalty.

She was executed in the most horrific way.

From the very people who are supposed to care for her and protect her.

The school, the neighbors, the DPJ, everyone abandoned her.

Nobody cared about her.

And after just two years we free our torturer?

It's as if his body is being dug up and other indignities inflicted on him.

Even the condemned man's mother thinks he shouldn't have gone out!

THE VALUE OF A LIFE

Someday someone will have to explain to me why Western societies are so forgiving and understanding towards bastards.

What is the point of “reintegrating this man into society”?

There are many people who have not committed a crime and are on the streets without a job, without a place to live. Can we help these poor people before we take child torturers out of prison?

It is said that we judge a society by how it treats its weakest members.

TRUE.

But we also judge a society by how it treats its most vile members.

What message are we sending to society by letting this man out?

That the life of a 7 year old girl is worth two years in prison.

No longer.

Two years in prison was the sentence a computer hacker received in 2010.

And the one a Laurentian citizen received for insulting a judge.

This is justice in Quebec.

The penalties do not reflect the seriousness of the crimes committed.

In 2005, journalist Yves Thériault published a pamphlet on the Parole Board entitled “Everyone Out!”

It's time to write the sequel…

Mathieu Bock-Côté, the most important Quebec intellectual of his generation, published a powerful essay on Wokism a few weeks ago.

The essay, entitled “Totalitarianism without a Gulag,” is topping the charts in France.

At the time of going to press, only one newspaper reported on this work: the one you are holding in your hands.

Nothing in Le Devoir, nothing in La Presse.

But when a famous unknown wrote a book against Mathieu four years ago, Le Devoir thought it was worthy of a long, positive review on the front page.

Really…

So the SQ cops decided to take their clown pants out of mothballs to protest the lack of progress in negotiating their next collective agreement.

Then we ask ourselves why fewer and fewer people respect authority figures…

Are public servants in positions of authority prohibited from wearing conspicuous religious symbols?

So what are we waiting for to ban them from wearing Halloween costumes too?

Do you dress like a clown? You are a clown!
