Four balloons mark the essential points of the future Europa-Park roller coaster
In the last episode of the first season of his series, he devotes himself to the construction of his future roller coasterthe teams ofEurope Park (Rust, Germany) explain the importance of the balloons installed at various points on the site.
A total of four balloons are presented to us. your goal ? “Mark four essential points of the roller coaster,” we are told.
The zero point and the high point
The first balloon is “a very special point”, it says, “because the train will be traveling at 0 km/h at this very point, even though it is at a considerable height”. “The other special feature is that it will also be the zero point of the roller coaster. We have metric markings on the rails so we can assemble them in the right order,” we also learn.
Balloon number 2 indicates “the highest point of the attraction” which is 32.5 meters high.
The fastest point and highlight of a decorative element
Ball number 3, for its part, signals the “fastest point of the roller coaster”. Here we reach 90 km/h. It is also the lowest point of the attraction.
Balloon number 4 is the “highest point for a decorative element”: the Tower of Wardenclyffe, also called the Tower of You are here (the whole attraction will revolve around this genius inventor) which will reach a height of 26 meters.
See you in 2024?
Originally scheduled for 2023, the coaster may not see the light of day before 2024 due to delivery times for certain materials.
