“What Do You Leave Me” tells the true story of contemporary Christian music star Jeremy Camp and his overwhelming love for Melissa, to whom the artist dedicated the hit song “I Still Believe,” which also inspired the title film. KJ Apa (“Riverdale”) stars and is directed by Jon and Andrew Erwin. In September 1999, 20-year-old Jeremy left his family to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College, the highly religious California university where he will begin his college journey. The first people he meets are Jean-Luc, a successful musician, and Melissa, a freshman like him. It’s love at first sight, both for the music, which is already part of Jeremy’s family tradition, and especially for Melissa: and both are first of all part of his euphoric presence. But fate has a nasty surprise in store for the boy: Melissa has been ill for some time and their future together is uncertain. Jeremy decides to take the plunge and marry Melissa, the love of his life, so he can stand by her through thick and thin and fulfill her young love dream. From this decision to share such a sad moment and add happy moments to the girl’s life, Jeremy releases a new song, “I Still Believe”, one of the most famous hits of his career and soundtrack of the film.
