Whoever says new football season inevitably means a new video game from the industry’s flagship series, namely FIFA, from EA Sports. But small changes are to be expected in 2023, already in the name of the new plant. Then also in the price of the game? The (partial) answer here.

Like every summer, when real players return to training to prepare for the new season with their club, EA Sports broadcasts new information – and often a trailer – about the next FIFA game. With a little originality, 2023 is no exception to the rule, as this year’s coming up is: a name change. In fact, we should no longer say FIFA, but EAFC, the new name of the license, and this year specifically EAFC 24 – or EA Sports FC 24 in the long version – which will thus replace the much-criticized FIFA 23.
But when will he make it, this sequel?
Two planned release dates
The information was recently published by the EA Sports FC News account: as often happens, twice we will have the opportunity to acquire the new iteration. Obviously, the sooner, the more expensive. By purchasing the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 24, which by its very nature is priced higher than the Standard Edition – as we shall see later – you will get early access to the game, most likely on September 22nd, 2023. That’s it same date as last year.
🚨BREAKING🚨
EA Sports FC 24 is reported to launch on September 29, 2023.
Both Standard and Ultimate editions will be available. Early access for the Ultimate Edition lasts 7 days (instead of 3 days for FIFA 23) and starts on September 22nd.#EASPORTSFC pic.twitter.com/Ve49ZxbW9W

The Ultimate Edition bonuses have not yet been announced, but you can expect additional credits – the in-game currency -, one or more players on loan, as well as one of several cards in the Ones to Watch collection, which also includes cards evolving according to the individual real performances of the players transferred in the summer. For EAFC 24, of course, Lionel Messi (from PSG to Inter Miami), Karim Benzema (from Real Madrid to Al-Ittihad), Geoffrey Kondogbia (from Atlético Madrid to OM) or Lucas Hernandez (from Bayern Munich to PSG) can claim him . how many others.
The standard edition of EAFC24 will be released 7 days later, expected on September 29, 2023. Additionally, starting September 22, you can enjoy 10-hour early access by subscribing to a one-month subscription with no commitment to EA Play, the Canadian studio’s subscription service.
Console and PC pricing
Only two prices are currently known: those of the various PC editions. On consoles, EA Sports FC has not yet officially revealed what sauce the players will be cuddled with. However, we offer you a forecast compared to last year’s prices.
Prices on PC
On the PC there is a further development … unfortunately upwards in the price of the Ultimate Edition, which is therefore sold for 99 euros. Or 10 euros more than with FIFA 23. Nothing changes for the standard version: it always costs 69.99 euros.
- EA Sports FC 24 standard version: 69.99 euros
- EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate version: 99 euros
Estimated prices for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and old generation (PS4, Xbox One)
For next-gen and legacy PlayStation and Xbox consoles, we expect a similar €10 increase to PC.

- EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate version: 79.99 euros
- EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate digital and cross-gen version: 109.99 euros
Our suggestions are guidelines and can therefore be changed at any time. Note that the Switch version has not yet been confirmed.
When are the pre-orders?
According to an official announcement from EA Sports, the game is set to be revealed on July 13 via a lengthy trailer. After the release of this video, pre-orders for EAFC 24 should be possible.
While waiting for a next article on this new work, wait with the first announcement trailer of the game from EA Sports, which in the last image reveals the cover of the Ultimate version.
