Brianza residents are preparing for another intense weekend of events in the region. In view of the World Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, planned for November 25th, the weekend of November 18th and 19th will offer numerous initiatives on the topic of women, as well as entertainment opportunities for children, exhibitions and workshops. What to do in Brianza on the weekend: Events in Monza
This weekend’s program in Monza is the Felix Film Festival. Appointment on November 18th and 19th at the Casa del Volontariato in Monza. For the 2023 edition, we would like to organize an event that can propose a model of peace dialogue in which culture and people are at the center.
Co-produced films, films from countries of the former Soviet Union, films from Eastern European countries and of course Italian films will also take part in this edition of the festival.
The benefit concert is scheduled for Sunday, November 19th at 6 p.m. at the Teatro Manzoni (via Manzoni 23).Solidarity Notes 2023”. The proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to furnish the waiting room of the Radiological Diagnostics Department of the National Cancer Institute of Milan.

Events in Arcore

Events in Lesmo
Tango and jazz, Buenos Aires and New York in the concert entitled “Piazzolla loves Gershwin”, scheduled for Friday November 17th in Lesmo, with the Argentine musicians Paola Fernandez Dell’Erba (vocals and bumblebee) and Hernàn Fassa (Piano).

The CHRISTMAS TENT returns to Carnate this year with mission and fair trade products. Inauguration on Sunday, November 19th, in the Oratory in the Family Room from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. According to the calendar, the tent is open until December 10th.
In Busnago, the inauguration of the huge bench in memory of Giulia Fabio, a 17-year-old who died of cancer last March. With this beautiful symbol, the family of the 17-year-old from Busnago, who died last March after a long battle with the disease, has decided to keep her memory alive among those who knew and loved her. It was Giulia’s parents and all her loved ones who donated a large green and purple seat that will be permanently installed in the Parco degli Alpini in Via Piave. The family’s intention, with this gesture of great symbolic value, is to “strengthen the idea of happiness by giving adults and children space to look at life from different perspectives, just like Giulia in her journey fighting the disease” he always said.”
The inauguration of the bench will take place on Saturday, November 18, at 2:30 p.m. in the presence of all the friends who will keep in their hearts the memory of a sunny, smiling and stubborn girl who loved life more than anything else in the world. I remember that in a few days it will live forever in one of the busiest gardens in the country.
What can you do in Caponago?
November is approaching and it is already “cabbage season”.
In Caponago everything is ready for the Cabbage Festival, an initiative of the local Time Bank that will take place next Saturday, November 18, at the Oratory. The festival, now in its seventh year and now a true autumn tradition, begins at 7:30 p.m. with dinner. During the evening, held in collaboration with Pro Loco and under the patronage of the municipality, there will be the opportunity to taste traditional Brianza dishes, with three different menus to choose from (including one for children). The main course of the dinner will of course be the cassoeula.
In addition to the entertainment offered by the flamenco group “Los Chicos de Ana”, there will also be an instant lottery with prizes also offered by Caponago dealers.

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Department of Social Policy, in collaboration with the Cartamina Cultural Association, is organizing the theatrical performance “ARTEMISIA The Silent Voice” on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November at Villa Cusani Confalonieri.
“ARTEMISIA The Silent Voice” highlights both the story of the famous painter Artemisia Gentileschi, whose voice was often suppressed in the patriarchal society of her time, and the silence and oppression that rape victims often face.
The show takes place with three performances: Saturday, 18th November at 8:30 p.m., Sunday November 19th at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Events in Desio
