Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has plenty of defensive skills, as evidenced by a streak in Friday night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.
In the seventh inning, Reds batsman Will Benson hit a low fly ball and a runner was on the trails.

Vlad Jr. intentionally dropped the ball on the ground and the runner immediately went to second base, which turned out to be a bad idea. The 2022 Golden Glove winner at first base later completed a double play to end the inning.
On the offensive side, the 24-year-old has not had the desired successes this season. In 119 games this season, he’s hit 18 home runs and 72 RBIs, and his batting average is .264.
