What to watch on TV on Christmas Eve

What to watch on TV on Christmas Eve?

Just as classic as the prawns on the table is the king's message (9 p.m.) at the start of Christmas Eve dinner and the special program. Television is another guest at many family gatherings tonight, even as it serves as an accompaniment to conversation, toasts and laughter. The broadcasters are preparing programs for tonight in which they usually fall back on the classics and do not experiment with new features. Because traditions cannot be missing from these dates, just like television traditions.

TVE is playing it safe with its Christmas programming. For 33 years, the public broadcaster has been using Telepasión (9:15 p.m.) on Christmas Eve, a music format in which many of the station's faces take part. This year's episode is entitled “Nobody is perfect”, directed by Juan Luis Iborra and a homage to the great film classics. Rodrigo Vázquez, Aitor Albizua and Patricia Conde are the drivers of the story recorded in Madrid, Toledo, Benidorm, Seville and Barcelona. Next up are the traditional music galas. Pablo López is the protagonist of the first (10.22). The musician from Malaga is accompanied by artists such as Manuel Carrasco, Sebastián Yatra, Raphael, Ana Belén, David Bisbal and Antonio Orozco. Then it's Camela's turn (11:30 p.m.). The kings of Tecnorumba celebrate three decades on stage with companions such as Taburete, El Arrebato, Pastora Soler, Beret and Vicco. The evening ends with several episodes of Viaje al centro de la tele (00:40), the program dedicated with humor to the TVE archive. Laughter will also be the star of the evening on La 2. The second TVE channel will show several episodes of How We Laugh (from 9:15 p.m.), in which the best moments of the best Spanish comedians will be discussed.

On Sunday 24th, Atresplayer presents the documentary series Tino Casal, a tribute to the benchmark of Madrid's Movida. On the same day, the third season of The Chosen (The Chosen) starts on Movistar Plus+, the fictional series that follows the life of Jesus Christ and begins with Jesus preparing for his famous Sermon on the Mount.
