After several years of promoting the sport and supporting young Chalacos, the regional governor of Callao, Cyrus Castillo, announced that Maicelo is joining his team in the field of sports. “Chalaco professional boxer Jonathan Maicelo joins the team that will help us promote the sport in the Callao area. The athlete was received by the governor, Ciro Castillo Rojo, to coordinate actions to promote the professional boxer internationally and make the first port competitive again in this discipline,” he said.
Afterwards, the Chalaco athlete thanked them for being selected for the position. “I have represented Peru and especially Callao in various international tournaments, but I have never been a prophet in my country (they have worked with ex-soccer players who were not even from Sport Boys or lived in Callao), it’s my moment, mine to demonstrate experience, for the Chalaco sport,” he stressed.
