From Wednesday 11 January 2023, Conceived by Carlo Lucarelli and Giampiero Rigosi, La Porta Rossa 3 returns to Rai2 for one final exciting season. After the success of the first (2017) and second season (2019), four new primetime evenings accompany the audience to the grand finale. “La Porta Rossa” is a co-production between Rai Fiction and Garbo Produzioni, directed by Gianpaolo Tescari.
THE PLOT
Three years have passed since Vanessa (Valentina Romani) left with Federico (Carmine Recano) without looking back, leaving Cagliostro (Lino Guanciale) caught between life and death. Today the girl attends a university in Slovenia, the Center for Studies in Parapsychology. Cagliostro has severed all ties with her and when Eleonora (Cecilia Dazzi) asks him for help to free her from the influences of this mysterious place, he refuses. Anna (Gabriella Pession) is about to leave town, she has won a competition as a judge in Siena and hopes for a new beginning for herself and her daughter. Inspector Paoletto (Gaetano Bruno) faces the city’s problems and an emotional conundrum: Although their relationship seemed to be booming, Stella (Elena Radonicich) asked him for a break and disappeared. One night, during a protest march against a power plant with a high level of pollution, in which Filip (Pierpaolo Spollon) is also involved, the city of Trieste falls into darkness. One of the downsides of the big blackout is a serious traffic accident: a vehicle leaves the road and crashes into an embankment. The person who drove dies. It’s a death destined to change the fate of all characters and lead them – for the last time – to investigate along with dramatic and unpredictable developments. Anna and Paoletto on one side; Vanessa and Cagliostro on the other hand, but with big news: in this case, both could be guilty. They will suspect each other as they try to figure out what is the invisible but very strong thread that has always connected them. Will they be able to find out? And in the end, will Cagliostro be able to cross the Red Door?
