Saura feigned censorship to create a brutal metaphor for Spain at the time: the hunt, an allegory of violence and animality, invites descent into hell. Four friends who go to a limited farm to hunt rabbits will explode in a climate of sour tension, expressed through Luis Cuadrado’s amazing photography.
