The final sequences of Robin and Marian reveal some of the most beautiful and moving moments that cinema has produced in the 1970s.

‘The hunt’

Few young fans today will know the work of Carlos Saura. Even less La caza, one of his first works, a capital film in the history of Spanish cinema to look back on with pleasure, all the more so in times of hollow and ruthless films. Saura feigned censorship to create a brutal metaphor for Spain at the time: the hunt, an allegory of violence and animality, invites descent into hell. Four friends who go to a limited farm to hunt rabbits will explode in a climate of sour tension, expressed through Luis Cuadrado’s amazing photography.

The bullfighting celebrations in ‘Comando actualidad’
This week’s report from Comando actualidad shows the current situation of bullfighting in Spain. In the bullring, they have declined by up to 61% over the past 12 years, according to the Culture Ministry, and a hundred municipalities have vetoed the fighting and bullfighting celebrations. Meanwhile, the Spanish streets are still guarded by 92 silhouettes of fighting bulls, most in Andalusia, Madrid and the two Castiles. It is the only metal fence allowed outside urban centers.
