But what are the requirements to use this tool?
First, you must provide your social security number and registration status for tax purposes. You must then provide the exact full dollar amount of your expected refund.
This tool allows you to check the status of your tax return 24 hours after filing your tax return electronically for the tax year 2022.
You can still check the status of your tax return three to four days after filing a tax return electronically for tax years 2020 or 2021.
Finally, this verification is also provided four weeks after submitting your paper declaration.
Where’s My Refund can provide you with a custom refund date after the agency has processed and approved your return. This was confirmed by the tax office.
For its part, there are three phases that show the progress through the program tracker: received explanation; Refund approved and refund submitted.
This tool is so functional that you can also use it to find the refund status of the desired tax year. This means that if you need information about any other declaration, you only need to consult your online account.
However, there are certain departments that are not available in Where’s My Refund. In this tool you will find neither changed tax returns nor information on trade tax returns.
If your refund is stolen, lost or destroyed; You have several options for action. You can usually apply online to have a replacement check mailed to you. This is the case if more than 28 days have passed since the date the IRS sent out your refund.
