Yellowstone fans, you’re in for a special treat. There’s a new series coming out of the franchise and judging by the first glimpses alone, we’re all in for a heartbreaking adventure.
Amid the delay of 1923 Season 2 and the news that Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 will air in November 2024, viewers are being introduced to a new character whose past has faded into American history. The series Lawmen: Bass Reeves follows a real man named Bass Reeves (played by David Oyelowo), who was enslaved in Arkansas in 1838 and eventually became known as the defender of what is now Oklahoma in the second half of the 19th century. Additionally, History.com reports that when he accepted the offer to become a U.S. marshal, he became the first black man of that rank west of the Mississippi.
In the new series, Bass attempts to protect the people in his territory from a number of unforeseen scenarios. And since this is another show from the Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, it will definitely be a film full of action and excitement.
