At the moment it is difficult to find an objectively bad car. There are cars that are boring, uninteresting or not worth buying over the competition, but you’re unlikely to come across one that’s actively no good.
Luckily for all of us, a car doesn’t have to be bad to be hideous. We all carry an unjustified hatred in our hearts, often for a car that really hasn’t done anything wrong. Today we honor that hate and ask you all: What good car do you just hate?

I’ll admit I’ve softened to the latest Land Rover Defender over time. After they started parking personally on the street in Brooklyn, I started to get it. They really aren’t bad looking little froaders. But when the Defender first came out, the story was different: I hated the thing.
I thought it looked dated, underwhelming, even derivative. I drew comparisons to the early 2000’s Bronco concept with its plastic skid plate with speed holes. Why was there a randomly drawn square on the side? What the heck was up with those taillights?

At release, the Defender just felt to me like a concept car left over from the happy early beginnings. Despite the reviews, despite its objective quality, I never gave it the time of day – at least not for months after release. It was the car I unfairly hated the most.
That’s my choice, but what’s yours? Is there a high-quality, objectively good car that you simply feel a deep, unjustified hatred for? Tell us in the comments and we’ll collect the best answers in a few days. Bonus points for stories – tell me why you feel such hatred.
