A low out of Colorado brings snow to the western part of the province on Friday before reaching the central parts of the province.

“Total snow accumulations associated with this system could reach nearly 15 centimeters,” Environment Canada said on its website.

Rainfall will be less in Quebec and Saguenay, with temperatures above normal for the time of year.

In southern Quebec, light snow will turn to rain in the afternoon, particularly in Greater Montreal, Outaouais and Estrie, the federal agency said.

On the other hand, a beautiful sun will shine in the sky in the east of the province, especially in Bas-Saint-Laurent, in Gaspésie and on the north coast.
