Classes are suspended in all schools and all centers of the Hauts-Cantons school service center. The daycare centers are open. School transport is suspended.
At this time, all schools in the Sherbrooke Region School Service Center (CSSRS) as well as the Eastern Township School Board remain open. However, at CSSRS we warn that there may be delays in school transport due to road conditions. On its website, it urges parents to create a plan B “in the event that school transport is not possible.”
For the Sommets School Service Center, all facilities are open except the Notre-Dame-de-Montjoie school. Facilities and daycare centers are therefore open and school transport is maintained, with the exception of Notre-Dame-de-Montjoie primary school, which is affected by a power outage. For this school only, lessons and school transport are suspended and the daycare center is closed. It is possible for employees at this facility to perform their work remotely.
