White House candidate Mike Pence officially begins his campaign

Former US Vice President Mike Pence officially launched his campaign for the White House on Wednesday, seeking the Republican nomination for the 2024 primary, where he will face his former boss Donald Trump.

“I believe in the American people and I am convinced that God is not finished with America,” said this evangelical Christian in his campaign launch video posted on social media.

According to his relatives, the curator has yet to appear at a meeting in Iowa (central states) on Wednesday before ending the day on a CNN device.

A staunch anti-abortion activist, Mike Pence helped Donald Trump win over the religious right by being his nominee in the 2016 presidential campaign. After years of unwavering loyalty, he changed his hiring following the attack on the Capitol that rocked American democracy on January 6th, 2021.

That day, Vice President Mike Pence chaired the session in Congress where elected officials had to confirm Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election. Despite only having a formal role, Donald Trump had insisted that he refuse to confirm the Democrat’s pick.

Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis (22.4%), who also relies on a very conservative but more offensive speech, and former UN ambassador Nikki Haley (4.4%) are just behind.

However, he has been preparing his candidacy for months. After publishing a book called So Help Me God, the former radio host has traveled the country delivering numerous speeches in states that are making the difference in the Republican primary could make out.
