“White Lotus” star Lukas Gage looked cool and collected as he made a public appearance on Thursday amid the breakdown of his marriage to Chris Appleton.

Chris, 40, best known as Kim Kardashian’s hairdresser, filed for divorce on Monday, just six months after the wedding.

New allegations of infidelity and “controlling” behavior have emerged which are believed to be behind the shocking split.

But Lukas, 28, showed no trace of bitterness as he attended the elegant dinner for Longines at Soho House West Hollywood on Thursday night.

Longines celebrated its new Legend Diver watch, which Lukas proudly modeled on his left wrist – drawing attention to the absence of his wedding ring.

As he made his way through the party, Charlie chatted a bit with fellow musician Jeremy Vuernick and Mad Men alum Kiernan Shipka.

The Longines party came one evening after Lukas’s first public appearance post-breakup, when he attended the star-studded season premiere of “Fargo.”

Lukas plays a recurring character in the new season of the series, which is itself inspired by the Coen Brothers’ popular 1996 film starring Frances McDormand.

Two days earlier, Chris filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” – just days after the wedding aired on reality series The Kardashians.

Now sources close to Lukas claim he was the one who ended the relationship, with his partner’s alleged “controlling” tendencies allegedly fueling his decision.

“Luke broke it off because Chris was controlling and possessive and he really thought he was the most important person on earth,” an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively.

The source said the pair had been “acting together” but suggested their open relationship may have caused a rift between them.

They also claimed that Chris “filed the complaint first to save face” and “conveniently waited until the Kardashian wedding episode aired,” adding, “Everyone thinks this is so shady.”

A separate source familiar with the situation said: “There was never an open relationship, Chris never cheated on Lukas.” The timing of filming is irrelevant to the episode, there was no choice but to set the timing of filming .

“There was a side of Lukas that Chris didn’t recognize before the wedding, and since it was Chris’ first marriage, he went into it with a lot of love.”

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Chris and Lukas for comment.

According to divorce records, the former couple’s separation date is listed as November 10, and documents show that they also had a temporary marriage.

The source said: “They had a marriage and the breakup is easy considering it’s only been six months since the marriage. “At the moment they’re not getting along at all.”

The estranged couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in April, with Kim Kardashian, whose hair Chris styles, officiating the surprise wedding. Shania Twain serenaded the couple.

The ceremony was documented on the Hulu series The Kardashians just last week and left fans shocked.

The couple married in front of just six guests at Little White Chapel after applying for a marriage license in Clark County.

Chris’ long-time client Kim was on hand to officiate the couple’s wedding in April

Kim organized a performance for Shania, where the music superstar sang: “Chris, Lukas, looks like you’ve done it, come here, let’s do this.”

Both Chris and Lukas declared, “We love you!” as Shania launched into her 1997 classic You’re Still The One.

The estranged couple made their romance public in February, sharing vacation photos from the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Mexico.

‘I am very happy. Very much in love. And I’m very grateful that I get to share my time with someone very special,” Chris gushed on The Drew Barrymore Show on March 17.

“Love is very special and I think meeting someone you really connect with is really special.”

The couple was believed to be plagued by cheating allegations and rumors began circulating on social media. The insider added that Lukas called it off, but Chris “filed it first to save face.” The end of the couple’s marriage is not expected to be complicated due to the fact that a prenuptial agreement already existed

Chris’ client list includes not only Kim, but also two-time Grammy nominee Jennifer Lopez, three-time Grammy winner Dua Lipa and Daytime Emmy-nominated host Drew Barrymore.

Lukas is famous for his roles as resort employee Dillon in the first season of The White Lotus, Adam Pratt in the Netflix thriller You, and Tyler Clarkson in Euphoria.

He also has a recurring role as Lars Olmstead in the fifth season of the dark comedy Fargo, premiering later this year on FX.

Chris looked somber as he walked around West Hollywood without his wedding ring on Tuesday.

A source previously told TMZ that the split “wasn’t an easy decision for Chris, but he tried everything he could to make the marriage work and had to make the best decision for him moving forward.”
