The Western Junior League (WHL) announced in a press release Monday evening that Wenatchee Wild head coach Kevin Constantine has been suspended for “alleged violations of WHL regulations and policies.”
The district states in this release that this decision was made after receiving a complaint about the 64-year-old man’s behavior. The WHL Independent Player Advisory Council will now conduct an investigation.

“Once the investigation is complete, the Player Advisory Committee will submit a report to the WHL Commissioner, who will then decide on further disciplinary action,” the WHL press release said.
Until the investigation is complete, Constantine is prohibited from having any contact with any members of the Wild, including players.
Note that Constantine was a head coach in the National League (NHL) with the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils. The former goaltender was also a pick of the Montreal Canadiens when the team selected him 154th overall in the 1978 NHL amateur auction.
