“Pokémon” gets new protagonists for the first time in the story, as Ash and Pikachu will leave the anime after 25 years. The farewell has already begun and the final episode starring the duo with the biggest impact on gaming and animation culture in Japan in recent years is set to leave television, at least permanently, on January 13th.
The story of the Ketchum family prodigy comes to an end after the character became the alltime Pokémon champion in November this year after 25 years on the small screen.
Two pairs of trainers and Pokémon have already been chosen to replace Ash and Pikachu.
Meet Liko and Roy, two new Trainers from the Paldea region who are expected to lead the new season based on the generation introduced in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games.
But who are these new coaches?

Liko and Roy were briefly introduced in a trailer released yesterday. Until now, little is known about their personalities and who they really are. However, we know his visuals, and we do know that his starting Pokémon companions will be chosen from among Spirigatito, Quaxly, and Fuecoco.
The new season of “Pokémon” is scheduled for release in April 2023.
