‘Who has more fun?’: Dame Joan Collins, 89, dons a blonde wig while letting her brunette tresses fall

Dame Joan Collins dropped her brunette tresses Thursday as she donned a blonde wig while morphing into her American Horror Story character.

The 89-year-old actress didn’t make it clear if the Instagram was a throwback or was recent, but did tag the shows’ social media page.

In the left photo, Joan wore a white t-shirt while opting for a striking blush makeup look with a pink lip as she showed off the new hairdo.

The post consisted of the two pictures side by side and Joan asked: “Who’s having more fun? Blondes or brunettes?’

After making her debut as the self-absorbed Evie Gallant at the beginning of American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Joan was stuck after episode three after being “accidentally” stabbed by her grandson.

And while fans were saddened to see her come and go so quickly, they were relieved when the British star reappeared in the seventh episode of a later season.

While return from the afterlife isn’t uncommon on AHS, it’s also not uncommon for the show’s stars to play more than one character. and Joan reappeared as the new character Bubbles McGee in the episode titled Traitor.

Bubbles, a witch, possessed the ability to read the minds and “souls” of others, and was involved in a major plot reveal for the season, which involved the plotted assassination of Cordelia Goode’s witches [Sarah Paulson] circle.

But one scene in particular stood out – starring Bubbles in a movie called A Christmas To Dismember, in which she cuts open her husband’s stomach on screen and removes his guts after he gives her flat shoes as a celebratory gift [which was a nod to her 1972 film Tales From The Crypt].

It comes after her rep confirmed she is currently “recovering and doing well” after suffering from a pinched nerve in her leg last month.

Dame Joan suffered from a pinched nerve in her leg last month.

She was “flown” to Monaco’s Princess Grace Hospital but is now “at home in St Tropez walking around,” reports Page Six.

A representative for Joan confirmed the news, adding that “the pain was excruciating but thankfully she dealt with it and is fine now.”

She is “enjoying the rest of her holiday” in St Tropez as she recovers, but pinched nerves are “brutal” and “the most painful thing”.

Despite the pain and recovery time, the famously stylish star’s rep insisted “this will not affect her fashion in any way” and that it is “fine” for her to wear heels.

A pinched nerve occurs when “too much pressure is placed on a nerve by surrounding tissue, such as bone, cartilage, muscle, or tendon,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

This pressure can cause severe pain, along with tingling, numbness, and/or general weakness.

Although rest is the most common way to heal a pinched nerve, more serious cases may require surgery to relieve pain.

The Dynasty star revealed her health ordeal to her 278,000 Instagram followers in July, while sharing a photo of herself posing on a yacht while on holiday in St Tropez.

“I enjoyed a great day a week before I had to be admitted to Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco with a pinched nerve in my leg,” said the Brit.

Although the pinched nerve was far from ideal, she was grateful for the caring care of the hospital staff. Joan concluded: “No fun! But they were great!’
