Tiago Nunes is no longer at La Florida, but Portuguese could still be spoken on the Sporting Cristal technical bench. Barely two weeks after confirming the departure of the Brazilian coach, the Rimense club would have found its compatriot Enderson Moreira as his replacement for the 2024 Liga 1 and Copa Libertadores seasons. The 52-year-old strategist is about to be appointed as the new coach of the beer team, which has not yet confirmed any new signings for next year.
“Details are still pending regarding Enderson Moreira, who will become the new technical director of Sporting Cristal. There are very advanced discussions,” reported Denilson Barrenechea, reporter for the YouTube program “Estudio Fútbol,” via social networks.

Who is Enderson Moreira?
Moreira has a degree in physical education from the National University of Minas Gerais and is a coach with extensive experience in his country’s football. He started in the 90s as a minor division coach at Atlético Mineiro and cruise. With these paintings he achieved some success that enabled him to move into the professional category.
The teams he has managed in the first division include “giants” such as Gremio, Santos, Fluminense and Cruzeiro, although he is best known for managing three clubs (Goiás, América Mineiro and Botafogo) from Serie B (second division).
He was recently released after his time with Sport Recife, a team in which he played 37 games with a record of 16 wins, 12 draws and 9 losses. If he accepts Sporting Cristal’s offer, it would be his first experience outside of Brazil, in addition to the fact that he could reunite with defender Ignácio da Silva, whom he coached in 2022.
