Those horses who contributed to the birth and growth of the love story with Filippo Bologni, one of the most crystal clear Italian show jumping talents who helped her overcome the drama of the horrific violence her ex-boyfriend endured in January 2017, when he punched her with Acid in his face and on Sunday he asked her to marry him just before the Longines Fei Jumping World Cup in Verona.
Born in 1994, Emilian and son of art (his father Arnaldo has competed in two Olympic Games, Barcelona 1992 as a reserve and Atlanta 1996 as a starter), started competing when he was only 8 years old and already the stigmata of champion. At the age of 12 he was already at the first European Championships and in the following years he entered the Carabinieri Sports Center and his first successes came, starting with the 17 Youth Nations Cups, up to six Italian and two European Championship titles in show jumping that led him directly among the hundred strongest riders in the world.
The two great horse lovers Gessica Notaro and Filippo Bologni met in Fieracavalli. That day – Gessica Notaro then told in an interview – fate wanted him, who is a champion, to be called up because he had won a World Cup race and I, who was testimonial at that moment, said a few words. At some point he says to me: “But why don’t you jump?” I’ve been riding for twenty years… But jumping…! And where do I go with one eye closed? And he: “Our limits are in our heads”. I have to jump 20 meters.
The first public release of 2020 with a photo posted to social media announcing a new love also powered by music. In fact, Bologni is also a producer (and Gessica is an excellent singer) and has produced several songs accompanied by video clips showing horseback riding in the background. The true power of a man lies in the size of the smile of the woman next to him, Gessica wrote on his Instagram profile a few years ago, along with a photo depicting them together. And judging by his smile, Filippo hit the mark.
