Kenji Cabrera is a 19-year-old attacking midfielder who was born on January 27, 2003 in Shiga, Japan. Signed by Melgar in early 2021 after training at club Esther Grande de Bentín, he has gained traction in the modern day approach of Pablo Lavallen.

After the Internacional game, the youngster trended on social media for being the first player to score the penalty in the deciding series, an action highlighted by fans who admire his bravery at such a young age.
