Rosanna Fratello’s career blossomed in the 1960s and 1970s, but her creativity faltered in the 1980s. From 1985 to 1990 she retired from the music industry and only released a few singles. Even in the years that followed, his songwriting wasn’t as notable as it was in the golden years, with only two unreleased albums, Stay close (1994) and Tre Rose Rosse (2011), to his name. Despite this, Rosanna Fratello’s passion for music remains unbroken.

Rosanna was born on March 26, 1951 in San Severo (Foggia) and with great enthusiasm she moved with her family to Cinisello Balsamo (Milan). There, her father and brother run an anodizing business while she pursues her passion for singing. His voice is remarkable and at the age of 15 he managed to get his first contract with Enzo Amadori’s Arlecchino label. With the producer he passionately records three songs from the collection of the Sanremo Festival and participates in the Italian Song Festival of Santa Sofia di Romagna, proudly taking first place.
In 1968 she was crowned Queen of Song after winning a competition in Piacenza, and in 1969 she signed to the Ariston label. This gives her the opportunity to take part in the Sanremo Music Festival at the tender age of 18 – and thus begins her rise to fame. He returned to Sanremo in 1970 and 1971 and also took part in Canzonissima but never reached first place. Despite this, he reached the final in 1972 but did not win the title. He continues to compete, participating in Sanremo in 1974, 1975 and 1976.
Rosanna was a real star back then and it was only natural that she became an actress. In 1971 he starred in Sacco and Vanzetti’s Giuliano Montaldo.
