Who scores the most where?
According to preliminary results, the CSU only managed to obtain more than 50 percent of the first votes in two cases, namely in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz and Bad Kissingen. In the Munich districts of Mitte, Milbertshofen, Schwaben and Giesing, the CSU had the worst performance in terms of overall voting.
The Free Voters have their strongholds in Lower Bavaria, where they sometimes relegate the CSU to second place. For example, in Landshut, where Hubert Aiwanger competed, as well as in Dingolfing, Kelheim and Rottal-Inn. The AfD won less than a quarter of the votes in Günzburg, Swabia.
The Greens are successful in cities – in the city of Munich with 44.6 percent, followed by three other constituencies in Munich, where they become the strongest force. The SPD still has most of its strongholds (in ruins) in Franconia, but in Lower Bavaria it often ends up with less than 5 percent. Finally, with the exception of a few yellow highlights in Munich and its suburbs, the FDP almost universally failed to re-enter the state parliament.
