The ceremony will take place on March 12th.
A few days before the Oscars, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is finalizing the details for the musical presentation of the Best Original Song nominees.
The 95th awards ceremony will feature the presentations already confirmed rihanna featuring “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”; Sofia Carson and Diane Warren with “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman”; Stephanie Hsu, David Byrne and Son Lux with “This is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”; And Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava with “Naatu Naatu” from the movie “RRR”.
Diane Warren received her 14th Oscar nomination this year. The prolific songwriter received an honorary Oscar at last year’s Governors Awards.
The category also includes Lady Gaga featuring his original song for Top Gun: Maverick, Hold My Hand. At the moment, the artist has neither confirmed nor denied her participation in the ceremony. Many international media outlets are speculating that Gaga will wait until the last moment to make her decision as she is in the middle of filming Joker 2.
If the artist chooses not to participate, chances are someone else will come on stage to perform the song or just not show up. This wouldn’t be the first time this has happened to an original song. in the past few years, Van Morrison, SZA, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem didn’t sing their Oscar-nominated songsexplained Variety magazine.

When she was nominated, Gaga took to social media to share her joy. “Thank you to the Academy for nominating my song ‘Hold My Hand’ for an Oscar this year! He also thanked his co-writer Bloodpop, saying, “I’m on set now filming big love for little monsters!”
It is worth remembering that in 2016 the actress was nominated for the Oscars in the category Best Original Song “Till It Happens To You” from the documentary “The Hunting Ground” but lost to Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall”.
Three years later, in 2019, he received two nominations. One for Best Original Song for Shallow and another for Best Actress, both for A Star Is Born. Back then, he won the award for his music, which he performed at the ceremony with his co-star Bradley Cooper.
